boxset synopsis ~
This next set of episodes, Prophets and Prophecies includes two of the longest novels in the series, plus three full-length prequel novels that provide critical backstory in the apocalyptic, romantic, science fantasy series, BRIDGE AND SWORD.
The series features Allie Taylor, prophesied to destroy the world and kill most of humanity, and her sometimes partner, sometimes lover, sometimes enemy, the infamous seer and assassin, Revik. Psychic suspense. Apocalyptic. An epic, soul-crushing, world-spanning science fantasy that can get dark, dark, dark… but also contains a lot of light.
Includes the following books:
BRIDGE OF LIGHT (Bridge and Sword: Book Seven)
TERIAN (Bridge and Sword Companion Novel #3)
THE EX-ROOK (Bridge and Sword Companion Novel #4)
SEER PROPHET (Bridge and Sword: Book Eight)
A GLINT OF LIGHT (Bridge & Sword Companion Novel #5)
* * *
THE BRIDGE AND SWORD SERIES is a dark, gritty psychic warfare epic from a USA TODAY and WALL STREET JOURNAL bestselling author. Set in an alternate version of Earth where a second race of beings called “Seers” live alongside humans, this is for fans of romantic, character-driven science fiction and fantasy worlds, filled with twists and turns and backstabbing betrayals, with heroes and villains who are often the same people.
Everything else I have for you is mostly personal, newsy stuff, so feel free to skip or read depending on your interest… :)
First off, the surgery went great. I'm so glad it's over, but also super pleased at the results. Not only will I be "back to normal" entirely in just a few weeks, but I should be better than I have been in like 5-6 years, ever since the problems started... which means my energy should be better, I should be able to do more athletic stuff, I should sleep better, and so on. I've had pretty severe anemia due to the problem the surgery corrected, and already I am noticing positive changes, even though I'm still in early recovery. So that part is AWESOME. I only wish I'd gotten the surgery done before I went to Europe. :)
Secondly, I am still in a pretty early part of the recovery, so I'm still moving kind of slow. Most of it is from the painkillers. I'm not on anything super heavy (the really heavy stuff didn't work on me, funnily enough), but I'm taking a pretty high dose of ibuprofen that knocks me out for part of the day, and I still can't do a bunch of stuff, and I get sleepy easier, that kind of thing. None of which is a big deal, since it's temporary, but it does mean I'm working slower right now. So I'm a little behind on serial episodes this week, and I was a week late putting out the boxset above, and the edits on Angels in L.A. are going slower than they would be otherwise. I'm just going to be chill about all of that frankly, and not push things. Especially not for the next two weeks or so.
After that I shouldn't need any drugs, should be sleeping through the night, etc., so my ability to stay awake in the afternoons should improve, ha. :)
The last thing I wanted to mention is, once I DO finish the edits for Angels in L.A. and get those and the new covers up, I'll be writing my first brand new novel since I started the rebrand. I'd initially thought about doing the next Quentin Black Mystery book first, but now, since I'm actively working on the Angels in L.A. series and it will all be super fresh in my mind, I'm thinking I might do the next Angels book instead, and do the Quentin Black book after that one.
Either way, whichever one I do first, I will do the other one afterwards, so there shouldn't be too long of a wait for either. The plan is then to do the next Vampire Detective Midnight book after that. :)
Hope this works for everyone! I'm really excited about doing all three of these books, so I'm hoping they will be worth the wait!
