Hey Light Brigaders! :)
I wanted to let everyone know (for those who like great big boxsets to read from)… I managed to pull together the first of these for the Bridge and Sword series. It contains the first three main series books plus Allie (A Bridge and Sword Prequel Novel). I also included the bonus episodes for all but the last book.

THE BRIDGE AND SWORD SERIES is a dark, gritty psychic warfare epic from a USA TODAY and WALL STREET JOURNAL bestselling author. Set in an alternate version of Earth where a second race of beings called “Seers” live alongside humans, this is for fans of romantic, character-driven science fiction and fantasy worlds, filled with twists and turns and backstabbing betrayals, with heroes and villains who are often the same people.
Everything else I have for you is mostly newsy stuff…
First off, like I mentioned last week, the surgery thing is definitely happening, so I've been in kind of a mad rush to get as much done as possible before the big date. Thus me pulling together the box sets for Bridge and Sword, and now I'm in the final stages of approving paperback covers for Vampire Detective Midnight, so I'm HOPING I can flip all of those covers before I go into surgery next week. It's been a bigger chunk of work than I expected, just because I have to update backmatter in basically every book I've ever written, plus the website and whatever else.
An FYI on one piece of that: I tweaked the recommended reading order for the Bridge and Swords series slightly in the process of organizing these new boxsets. I got a slightly different read on it when I actually sat down to make the sets, and moved a few things around, so I hope that works for everyone. I also wanted to add my A.I. stance to the copyright pages, and I changed the names of a few novels in both my Vampire Detective Midnight and Angels in L.A. series, so all that required updating. I'll make sure all those changes get reflected on the website as well.
The Angels in L.A. revisions and new cover art are in process as well. Since I'm doing a real revision of that series along with changing the cover art, I'm probably not going to be able to get those done prior to surgery, unfortunately, but I'll do as much as I can while also stockpiling serial episodes and getting those scheduled to release automatically while I'm out. I found out I'm going to be in the hospital for at least 2 days, and then have a 6-8 week recovery after that, but I'm hoping I can still work through a fair bit of that, at least after the first week or so post-surgery.
Oh, and I'm going to be putting out a Bridge and Sword box set every week for the next four weeks. If people want them sooner than that, just let me know and I'll try to condense that timeline some, but they're long enough I figured a week should be fine. :)
Hope everyone is doing well, staying healthy, and having a good June so far! I just had my last big pre-op appointment before all the lab work and everything the day before, so getting kind of nervous but also excited to be on the other side of it all. I've never had a major surgery like this before, so it's kind of a trip. It's kind of strange how it's aligned with all of this re-branding stuff, since I'll mostly be done with that by the time I finally recover from it all. So yeah, new world. New me. I'm looking forward to it, I have to say, and getting back to focusing on new books! :)
