Hey Reader Friends!
Hope you're all doing well and enjoying your summer so far! It's been pretty hot here, but not as bad as other places for sure, and our air conditioning is holding out so far (knock on wood) so I really can't complain too much. I'm mostly just trying to walk early enough that it's not too hot yet, and then hunkering down for the rest of the day indoors to write and otherwise hide when it gets northward of ninety degrees F or so.
That's the plan for today, too. :)
Before I get back to that, I wanted to let everyone know I have a special on the first Bridge and Sword boxset for the next few days! The four-book set is only $1.99 for today and the rest of the weekend, so be sure and grab a copy if you haven't read these yet! It's funny, I actually was planning on making it $0.99 for a few days instead, but the file is so large, Amazon wouldn't let me do that (yikes!), which gives you some idea of how long the main books are in this series. The bonus novel included in the set, Allie, is more of a “normal” novel size, but the combination of all four was over Amazon's limit. :)
For those who haven't checked out this particular series yet, it's the one that started the whole “seers” thing, and built the multi-verse world the other series are based on, at least in part. The storyline has connections to the following other series of mine, and will give a lot of background information: Seer Wars, Quentin Black Mystery, and the Vampire Detective Midnight series.
HUGE DISCOUNT ON BOXSET!
Click the image below for grab the first boxset of the Bridge & Sword series for only $1.99! It has three very LONG novels and one normal-length novel, and provides an awesome introduction to the series that started it all!

I know I'm hugely behind on a number of non-writing type things - I never did get around to posting Yosemite photos. I'm planning to share a few with Patreon people in a day or two, but I put two below, just so you could how pretty it was when I was there.
I've been super lame about making videos too, but on the plus side, I AM writing a lot and working on a book right now prior to diving into Seer Wars Season 02. I never seem to have enough hours in the day to write as it is, and with all the publishing stuff and marketing / advertising attempts (I'm really bad at that side of the business, lol), my time all gets eaten up insanely quick. But I'm enjoying the writing side of things right now and looking forward to having lots of new things for you very soon!
One caveat, however: I have a family vacation coming up next week that will slow things down a bit on the work front. I did make a decision to cut back on a number of other travel plans I had in the next six months or so, mainly to give myself more writing time so I can get some projects done that I really want finished before the end of the year. And I should have some fun photos from the family trip! We're going to Alaska, which should be gorgeous, and taking a cruise ship, which should be a bit crazy, lol, but I'm sure we'll all have a blast.
I've only ever been on one cruise in my life, and that was partly research and I went on my own, so this will be interesting going with my brother and his family, plus my parents. I still am hoping to squeeze in a TINY bit of writing, but it'll be pretty tough with the family craziness and my niece and nephew there. I'm looking forward to running around the boat with them, though, and making them do karaoke with me and lots of other embarrassing things. :D
Until then, hope you enjoy the Bridge and Sword boxset! I'm trying to get as much done as I can before we leave next Wednesday, but I likely won't have much concrete news on that front until I get back, at least when it comes to any new projects. That said, the cruise is only a week. And of course, the next Seer Wars book is already on preorder, so there's a concrete date set for that one (Season 02: Book One), but I'm working on another book I'm not announcing until I'm a little closer to being finished.
Thanks so much for reading, and have a great weekend!
